The solid titanium handle contains an integral spring bar that houses a steel ball bearing to deploy the blade, as well as Spyderco's trademark Round Hole for easy one-handed opening. The blade is non-locking however, so take care to apply cutting pressure in a way that holds the blade open.
The compact 1.23 inch sheepsfoot blade is made of premium corrosion-resistant CPM S30V stainless steel, and chisel ground to protect the edge when closed.
